hey if their diaries record things before they happen like how the cop guy got the information by pinning an engineer and they didnt do it since they already got the information VIA diary then doesnt that change the information? or at least make the information disappear?

Deus changed causality around them so they can take information from the diaries which would be information from the future to allow them to change it. Once the information is known they have changed the future into one where the events happen without the need for information, as if you just happened across something but you knew it would be there because it has to be.
